The Allen Bradley 847A-Q42A-RB01024 is an incremental encoder designed for precise motion feedback applications. Featuring a 2-inch diameter housing with a blind hollow shaft of 1/2 inch diameter, this encoder mounts securely using a three-point mounting system. It operates on a wide input voltage range of 8 to 30 V DC and outputs a 4.5 to 5.5 V line driver (TTL) signal, suitable for a variety of control systems. The design includes a radial exit with an M12 8-pin connector (without a mating connector), and it delivers 1024 pulses per revolution (PPR). Signal outputs are arranged with B leading A in a clockwise rotation, including a gated Z channel with a brown wire.
